Boom, roasted!

šŸ“¢ Watch me get roasted. More details below ↓

Hey Reader!

In case you missed it, I’m about to go Full Vulnerable next week.

My team roasted my 2019 welcome sequence, and I’m going to share about it on Wednesday. Come watch me transform my strategy in under an hour!

I’ve been sitting on a pile of "what-to-dosā€ about updating my email strategy for months, and it finally got so annoying — since it wasn’t sharing the important things that you deserve to know when you join my list! — that I’ve had to call in backup (aka, my team).

Now, if you’re in the online communities that I’m in every day of the week, you might be wondering, ā€œAllea, can’t AI assess your email marketing for you?ā€

I appreciate AI, I do.

You’ve probably asked AI yourself, gotten a full list back of things to do and change, and maybe you thought that was sufficient. Though, as a copywriter and big proponent of clear, on-brand messaging, I’ll tell you, it isn’t.

I tried using AI for my full email review. And it fell short.

It reviewed every nurture email, the name of every form, and a list of outdated tags. Sure, it was ā€œhelpful,ā€ but while it gave me a LOT of little, technical things to edit… it wasn’t everything I needed.

It wasn’t the stuff that’s been nagging at me to fix, like messaging things. Strategic things. Segmentation questions.

I could fix the technical bits and still not be totally at peace that my automated emails were doing what they were supposed to.

There’s more to email than purely technical notes about tags or broad subscriber data.

I needed real eyes on my emails, someone with good taste, solid strategy… someone outside of myself to help me see what needed fixed.

So, my solution?

I paid my team to tell me what I’m doing wrong.

(Sure, they also told me what I was doing right, but I wanted CRITIQUE.)

Curious what they found? I’m sharing all about it next week!

In this free workshop, I’ll share their 3 biggest findings for me

— including what I’ll change, and what I might not.

My Team Roasted Me (with Love):

Learn from My Email Mistakes & Refresh Your Strategy in 3 Steps

Time for a refresh! Come see what I’d fix in my old welcome sequence strategy.

In 2019, I'd built a welcome sequence that served its purpose… until it didn't. My business has shifted since, and now it feels stale. My team dug into my email setup (like we do for clients). Come see what I'd change, and what you might need to update too.

Join me to —

  • Spot where you’ve outgrown your old welcome sequence and what needs changed
  • Catch (and fix) the subscriber mismatch that's snuck up on you so you can attract the right people
  • Quit hiding your best work. Give new subscribers the best picture of you
  • Refresh your emails without shame over what you ā€œshould’ve done soonerā€
  • Decide if segmenting your list is for you (or more work than it’s worth)
  • Invest one hour into the marketing channel you can actually control

Hey Reader! I’m a generally reflective person… but I’m also a very practical get-down-to-business kind of person, and often that takes the driver’s seat. But I got back from a trip to Europe this summer right around the day Duett turned 8 years old. My 2018, pre-pandemic baby… going into 3rd grade soon. šŸ˜‚ That got me thinking about how much has changed for me in all that time. My business has been taking some turns (the good kind) this year, and I’ve simply been adding them to the list of...

Hey Reader! I have a bone to pick. Sure, I have a few, but I have ONE in particular that’s been getting under my skin… Like, who let my email strategy get STALE? Who let my email template annoy me for months (if not a year) just putting that on the backburner to ā€œfix when I have timeā€? And who has been contemplating segmenting her list for literal YEARS and hasn’t spent more than 10 seconds actually thinking about it? Oh wait, that’s ME. Wait, ME?! You mean — this email expert with a podcast...
