Hey Reader! If you’re remotely close to the food blogging community, you’ve heard of this strategy for lead generation — and not only am I sharing it with you as a surefire way to boost subscribers, I’m going to show you HOW. What is it? It’s a “Save this Recipe” form that you add to every blog post. It looks like this: You can even use this strategy for non-food blogs, of course, like a “Save this Post” form instead. If you’re interested, it’s worth trying out on your own site! I have a blog post about it here. And if you’re in Kit, you can copy my automation and have 80% of the tech done FOR you in a few clicks. Why would your subscriber want a blog post emailed to them?My top guess is that they are scrolling your blog and content on their phone and simply want to save the post to revisit it later. Either to make your recipe, walk through your how-to guide, or spend more time looking through what you’ve shared. However, you don’t want to have to set up a SEPARATE form for each of your hundreds of posts. That would be bananas and take so much time. So don’t worry: I got all technical with the Kit team to create an automation that does the heavy lifting. Let’s get technical, TECHNICAL 🎵 You need WP Forms and a Kit* integration to set up ONE form that sends the page title + page URL to every subscriber who submits this simple form on your site. *It’s also possible it’ll work for other platforms, but watch my tutorial and test things on your own backend to make sure. Here’s how I set up Save this Recipe/Post to automatically add subscribers to Kit, send them your blog post link, and avoid any delays you may be experiencing if you’ve struggled to set this up yourself.
Once you have this set up in Kit, add format and add the WPForms form into your old blog posts and include it in all new posts going forward. Save this Recipe: Kit Custom Email AutomationOnly $17 One piece of the tech puzzle is that you'll need a custom email that successfully sends each recipe (with the page title and page URL link) to your new subscriber. When you copy my ready-for-you setup YOUR Kit account, you’ll get the exact email I’ve created to do that! It's been tested and tried — and once you customize the emails to match your brand, it will send new subscribers back to the blog post they requested.

Hey Reader! I got this email from my mom last week that just said, “Fight the AI.” And I was like, Mom, you have no idea. I've been fighting with it in my brain for weeks now! 😅 You could say I've had my dance battle with AI. At the end of January I was very anti-AI — you know, because it can affect my entire business model and that feels terrible. So in order to know more, I've spent more time over the last month or so using it. And, unfortunately, it's been really incredible. 😅 While,...
Hey Reader! Amy Reid of Baking with Granny was on the Happy Subscribers podcast in January! I got to meet Amy in-person at the Tastemaker Conference in January! Not only is Amy a GEM of a person, she’s cracked the reader-relationship code with her subscribers and was able to get more than 300+ pre-order sales of her cookbook within 24 hours of emailing her list. It worked all because she’s been nurturing her list long before she asked for the sale (what she calls “the plea” 😂). You don’t want...
