More emails won’t fix this

Hey Reader,

I don’t know everything about how things operate online, but I do know email.

And I know that it’s not getting the attention I think it deserves from creators.

It’s often a backburner strategy, for “just in case” type scenarios. You know, like “just in case TikTok gets banned.”

But that’s about to change.

This is the year EMAIL gets to be the Main Character.

For many reasons. All of which I covered in this week’s podcast:

Email and Wait Is Dead in 2026: Why Your Email Needs Strategy, Not Blind Hope

Hitting send on just any email won’t do it in 2026. And sending more emails or growing your list won’t fix a weak strategy.

We can do better.

Here’s what I hope to see in 2026 — and what I predict will change for creators using email in the next year.

Tune in, reply to this email with thoughts, or DM me over on Instagram. I want to hear what you think!

Let’s Duett,

So in order to know more, I've spent more time over the last month or so using it. And, unfortunately, it's been really incredible. 😅 While,...

Hey Reader! If you’re remotely close to the food blogging community, you’ve heard of this strategy for lead generation — and not only am I sharing it with you as a surefire way to boost subscribers, I’m going to show you HOW. What is it? It’s a “Save this Recipe” form that you add to every blog post. It looks like this: Example from Eating Bird Food You can even use this strategy for non-food blogs, of course, like a “Save this Post” form instead. If you’re interested, it’s worth trying out...

Hey Reader! Amy Reid of Baking with Granny was on the Happy Subscribers podcast in January! I got to meet Amy in-person at the Tastemaker Conference in January! Not only is Amy a GEM of a person, she’s cracked the reader-relationship code with her subscribers and was able to get more than 300+ pre-order sales of her cookbook within 24 hours of emailing her list. It worked all because she’s been nurturing her list long before she asked for the sale (what she calls “the plea” 😂). You don’t want...
