My team roasted my 2019 email strategy

Hey there, Done & Delivered Client! We’re launching our waitlist for Done & Delivered out into the wild — since we’re nearly booked through the end of 2026 and planning for 2027.

To do that, I'm hosting a free workshop on September 16.

If you know anyone who might be interested in having us strategize, write and send emails for them (like we do for you!), please forward them this email. Or text them this link to register.

Once they're registered, they'll learn more about Done & Delivered!

Hey Reader!

About that long list of things I want to change in my email marketing…

  • My 2023 template whose formatting drives me nuts (yes, the very one you’re reading from right now)
  • My welcome sequence being outdated without mention of my new recurring newsletter service
  • Deciding what to do with my beginner content (keep it, trash it, or segment it into something special?)

Ugh, it’s annoying, because — like you — I have so many wonderful resources and things to share with new subscribers… that just haven’t ended up in my welcome sequence yet.

I’ve been busy! You’ve been busy!

👉 Maybe your welcome sequence is old. Or it’s only one email (and woefully insufficient).

👉 Or you’ve got a cookbook that’s only being shared with new subscribers once you remember to share it in a newsletter.

👉 Or you’re sending 4 emails/week without any way for your list to say “I want less,” and still stay subscribed.

👉 Or you’ve created an amazing lead magnet that in the back of your mind you know should be sent to everyone who’s new — because it’s so helpful for getting the most out of your content! — but it’s merely sitting in Drive.

Our new subscribers deserve the best from the very first emails they get from us — our generous, valuable, brand-defining content or resources — to share our expertise and solve their problems as quickly as we can.

Yes, email marketing is built to LAST, and LAST it has — in my case, my welcome sequence has been running for over 7 years.

But, still, there are things that need to be addressed. And updated.

I’ll go first. I’ll show you what’s outdated about MY old 2019 welcome sequence… by way of a public “roast.” 😅

… so that you can take the lessons I’m learning and apply them to your own email strategy — to get better-fit subscribers and make sure your emails actually deliver your best content to new subscribers.

Introducing a Free Live Workshop

My Team Roasted Me (with Love):

Learn from My Email Mistakes & Refresh Your Strategy in 3 Steps

Time for a refresh! Come see what I’d fix in my old welcome sequence strategy.

In 2019, I built a welcome sequence that served its purpose… until it didn't. My business has shifted since, and now it feels stale. My team dug into my email setup (like we do for clients). Come see what I'd change, and what you might need to update too.

Join me to —

  • Spot where you’ve outgrown your old welcome sequence and what needs changed
  • Catch (and fix) the subscriber mismatch that's snuck up on you so you can attract the right people
  • Quit hiding your best work. Give new subscribers the best picture of you
  • Refresh your emails without shame over what you “should’ve done sooner”
  • Decide if segmenting your list is for you (or more work than it’s worth)
  • Invest one hour into the marketing channel you can actually control

I had my team “roast” my current email setup this summer, in detail, so I can finally improve what’s fallen off and make it more strategic.

And I thought, why not share that with YOU, so you can learn from it too?!

I started my Duett email list in 2019, buckled down, did my client work, sent a weekly email, turned them into over 80 evergreen nurture emails that people STILL reply to — so what could I POSSIBLY need to update!?

You might be surprised. Register here to find out next week!

Plus, when you register, you’ll immediately get my Email Refresh Self-Audit: 5 Questions to Assess What's Stale. It’ll only take a few minutes, and you’ll have a clear list of potential edits ready to go before our workshop next week.

Let’s Duett,

Allea

P.S. When you register for the workshop, you’ll immediately get my Email Refresh Self-Audit: 5 Questions to Assess What's Stale, so you can take a few minutes to look at your own goals before we meet!

Want to invite a friend or peers from your mastermind? Forward them this email to get registered and receive reminder emails up until the big day.

Hey Reader! It's here. It's Q4 — the season my clients (and you, dear reader) have been working toward all year long. Or at least most of you. For most of my clients and the online creators I know, Q4 is when the traffic shows up. (For healthy living and healthy food creators, it might be Q1. Same idea.) You've spent months on new recipes, how-to articles, photos, pins, post updates and SEO, all to pay off in the highest-traffic months of the year. That traffic is hard-earned. And I want to...
