Hey Reader! I have a bone to pick. Sure, I have a few, but I have ONE in particular that’s been getting under my skin… Like, who let my email strategy get STALE? Who let my email template annoy me for months (if not a year) just putting that on the backburner to “fix when I have time”? And who has been contemplating segmenting her list for literal YEARS and hasn’t spent more than 10 seconds actually thinking about it? Oh wait, that’s ME. Wait, ME?! You mean — this email expert with a podcast and a team and a client-based business and who’s been taking vacations and taking naps with her cat? Yeah, HER. The one who’s been busting her butt earning a living and caring for clients and having a social life and going for walks. Ohhhh, oh. So maybe I’m not so mad… She’s been doing a pretty good job, now that I think about it. (As an aside, YOU HAVE TOO.) Do you have a nagging list of email to-dos on your list too? Even me, I, the woman writing you about email marketing strategies every stinking week has a list of nagging to-dos as well. You aren’t alone. I think it’s good to remember a few things:
So while my current email template drives me *eye-twitching* batty, even though I loved it when it was new in 2023, it’s on my list to get in there and update it. And I will. In fact, I have more details about all that I’m changing coming your way in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned for that. But I gotta ask. This is a safe space. What’s ONE thing just irking you about your current email marketing setup? I’ve shared mine, so now it’s your turn! Reply back and let me know. Let's Duett, Allea P.S. Stay tuned in the next couple of weeks, because I’m going to share the DIRT on what I’m changing about my own email marketing strategy. You’re gonna dig it. |

Hey Reader! I've sent a weekly email since October 2019. That's no small feat — I started a business, lived through a pandemic, and rode every emotional up and down that comes with running something online. But I always said I'd hold to it, because I knew as soon as I got out of that rhythm, it'd be really hard to get back into it. Were all those early emails good? Ha. No. Some were pretty weak — a few paragraphs, a couple links to things that weren't even mine. When I needed to fill a gap,...
Hey Reader! Most of us were taught that a growing email list means more subscribers. More, more, more. Howeverrrrrr, I'd rather have the right people on my list than a lot of people on it. The ones who actually want what I send. The ones who care. That's what Sara Ecklin has been building over at Clean Plate Mama. We met through Kayla Burton's Food Blog Group Coaching, where I came in to talk email. A little while later, Sara emailed me — she'd reworked her welcome sequence and was seeing a...
📢 Watch me get roasted. More details below ↓ Hey Reader! Some things age well — like my 19-year friendship with my bestie Jenna. And some age so slowly you don't notice until you wake up one day — like this past August 1, when my business turned 8 — and realize you're not showing up online the way you feel inside. 😬 For me, that meant my welcome sequence. And my email template. And the long list of things I just know are missing. It irks me so much. For you, it might mean dozens of new...
