Hey Reader!

I am, at my core, a practical person. Frameworks, checklists, processes — give me something to implement and I’m happy.

Maybe you’re the same way, “Just tell me how to do it, Allea!”

There are so many ways to do email, and while I’m good at some of them... incorporating “story” into my messaging has always felt a little forced to me.

Good news for us, though! I have a friend named Mike who is a MASTER storyteller.

Mike Pacchione and I have been in the same mastermind for years. In fact, we talked for four hours straight on a car ride from Atlanta to Nashville last year (I bet you can’t imagine that! lol) — so this time, we’re hitting record because we BOTH have questions for the other (that you’ve probably asked yourself too).

Mike is a well-known speaker coach. I love email marketing. And in this episode, we find some common ground on what it takes to connect with an audience, whatever the medium — email or a stage.

Hey Reader! I’m a generally reflective person… but I’m also a very practical get-down-to-business kind of person, and often that takes the driver’s seat. But I got back from a trip to Europe this summer right around the day Duett turned 8 years old. My 2018, pre-pandemic baby… going into 3rd grade soon. 😂 That got me thinking about how much has changed for me in all that time. My business has been taking some turns (the good kind) this year, and I’ve simply been adding them to the list of...

Hey Reader! I have a bone to pick. Sure, I have a few, but I have ONE in particular that’s been getting under my skin… Like, who let my email strategy get STALE? Who let my email template annoy me for months (if not a year) just putting that on the backburner to “fix when I have time”? And who has been contemplating segmenting her list for literal YEARS and hasn’t spent more than 10 seconds actually thinking about it? Oh wait, that’s ME. Wait, ME?! You mean — this email expert with a podcast...

Hey Reader! I'm back. Three weeks in Italy, France, and Spain — my first real vacation since 2019. Before I left, I told my team I'd check in twice a week. I checked in six times. There was nothing for me to do. Nothing at all. My Asana was empty. My inbox was handled. And Kat? She had a whole sales conversation and a new client booked without me (literally at all) — which is usually my job, my call, my face on the screen. I came home and just felt... cared for. By my own team. That's the...
